Fifty-three years ago I made my appearance for the first time and boy, oh, boy was it a day that rocked their whole world. My entrance was a surprise, or so I’ve been told many times. What is Purpose?
“Having a sense of purpose is having a sense of self. A course to plot is a destination to hope for.” ―Bryant H. McGill
According to the Dictionary:
- the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.”the purpose of the meeting is to appoint a trustee”
- motive, motivation, grounds, cause, impetus, occasion, reason, point, basis, justification “the main purpose of his visit”
- have as one’s intention or objective.”God has allowed suffering, even purposed it”
- intend, mean, aim, plan, design, have the intention, have in mind, have a mind
Purpose can guide life decisions, influence behavior, shape goals, offer a sense of direction and create meaning. For some people, the purpose is connected to vocation—meaningful, satisfying work. For others, their purpose lies in their responsibilities to their family or friends.
What are seasonal allergies and why are they getting worse?
Seasonal allergies are at epidemic proportions in our modern world. Why is that? Why are they so much worse than they were even 25 years ago? What’s causing the epidemic proportions and what can we do naturally to heal the symptoms or cure the illness?
Well, allergies used to be considered an overreaction of the immune system to non harmful substances in your environment, including, dog and cat hair, dust, or crops being harvested. You could alway tell when they were harvesting wheat, for example, because you become sympathetic. You could take an Over The Counter medication, to control your symptoms, because they were temporary and would be over when you removed yourself or the allergen.

Balancing Fitness and Self-Care
You’ve had a bad day at the office. You promised yourself you would hit the gym after work, but when you get home, you feel stressed, anxious, and tired. On one hand, you know your physical fitness is important to your health, but on the other, you know that you need to give yourself downtime. What do you do?
Many of us encounter some variation of that dilemma multiple times a week. We are torn between our desire to get fitter and our desire to be kinder to ourselves, and we don’t know which one to pick. Addressing this issue means re-evaluating how we think about our health and our attitude to fitness and self-care.
